Pembina County, North Dakota

Pembina County is the northeasternmost county in North Dakota. It is named for a Chippewa term.
The seat and largest city are Cavalier. The Pembina and Tongue Rivers run through the county.
Pembina County borders Walsh and Cavalier Counties in North Dakota; Marshall and Kittson Counties in Minnesota, as well as the Rural Municipalities of Stanley and Montcalm; Manitoba, Canada.
Main highways through the county include I-29, US-81, ND-17, ND-18, ND-32 and ND-35.
